About The Position

Join Staples’ World Class Supply Chain Team to help deliver essential products to customers. As an SC1 warehouse associate, you may be moved among four work areas as needed. Order pickers accurately and promptly pick and prepare customer orders to meet production goals, sometimes working above ground level while following safety procedures. Restockers scan labels, cut boxes, and restock shelves to prepare work areas for the next shift. Bulk selectors select products, pull and pack totes, cut merchandise cases and/or stock products, and move full totes and cases onto conveyor belts. Custodians perform general cleaning and basic maintenance inside and outside the facility, including cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, vacuuming, removing carpet spots, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning furniture and windows, and collecting and removing warehouse trash. All work must follow safety procedures.

Safety is a priority. Associates are expected to practice safe work and embrace Staples’ safety culture. The role requires working in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations and walking and standing throughout the workday. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Full-time associates must be able to work additional hours when business needs require overtime. Pay is $20.75 per hour. A pair of work shoes is provided after 60 days.

Requirements

• Ability to count and use basic arithmetic skills.
• Ability to work the assigned schedule and be accountable for assigned tasks.
• Ability to understand and follow job requirements and safety guidelines.
• Basic English verbal and written communication skills.
• Full-time associates must be able to work additional hours beyond the scheduled shift; overtime is required based on business need.
• Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, or carry products by hand up to 70 pounds.
• Must wear safety composite shoes.
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Prior warehouse or applicable experience, including fast-food work (headset use is a plus), stockroom work, working with racking systems, customer service, or package handling.
