About The Position

Join Staples’ World Class Supply Chain Team to help deliver essential products to customers. Warehouse associates may be assigned to any of four areas as needed: Order Picker, Restocker, Bulk Selector, or Custodian. The work takes place in a climate-controlled warehouse, though associates must be able to work in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.

Order Pickers accurately and promptly pick and prepare customer orders to meet daily production goals, sometimes working above ground level while following safety procedures. Restockers scan labels, cut boxes, and restock shelves to prepare work areas for the next shift. Bulk Selectors select products, pull and pack totes, cut merchandise cases and/or stock products, and move full totes and cases onto a conveyor belt. Custodians perform general cleaning and basic maintenance inside and outside the facility, including cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, vacuuming and spot-cleaning carpets, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning and dusting furniture and partition walls, cleaning windows and brass, and removing warehouse trash.

Associates are expected to follow safe work practices and support Staples’ safety culture. The scheduled shift is Monday through Friday, 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Full-time associates must be able to work additional hours beyond their scheduled shift; overtime may be required based on business needs.

Requirements

• Ability to count and use basic arithmetic skills.
• Ability to work the assigned schedule and be accountable for assigned tasks.
• Ability to understand and follow job requirements and safety guidelines.
• Basic English verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work additional hours beyond the scheduled shift; overtime is required based on business needs for full-time associates.
• Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, or carry products by hand weighing up to 70 pounds.
• Must wear safety composite shoes.
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.
• Ability to adopt safety procedures quickly and follow safe work practices.
• An inclusive approach to colleagues and customers, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate to resolve issues.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Prior warehouse or applicable experience, including fast-food (headset experience is a plus), stockroom, working with racking systems, customer service, or package handling.
