About The Position

Join Staples’ World Class Supply Chain Team to help deliver essential products to customers. Warehouse associates may be assigned to one of four areas: Order Picker, Restocker, Bulk Selector, or Custodian, and may be moved between these roles as needed. Duties include accurately picking and preparing customer orders; scanning labels, cutting boxes, and restocking shelves; selecting and packing products and moving totes or cases onto conveyor belts; and performing general cleaning and basic maintenance inside and outside the facility. Associates must follow safety procedures and contribute to Staples’ safety culture.

This is a part-time first-shift role. The schedule is 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Friday. Pay is $20.55 per hour.

Requirements

• Ability to work the assigned schedule and be accountable for assigned tasks.
• Ability to understand and follow job requirements and safety guidelines.
• Basic English skills, including verbal and written communication.
• Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, or carry products by hand weighing up to 70 pounds.
• Must wear safety composite shoes.
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to count and use basic arithmetic.
• Ability to adopt safety procedures quickly and work safely.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.
• An inclusive approach to working with colleagues and customers, building relationships, and collaborating to resolve issues.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Prior warehouse or applicable experience, including fast-food work (headset use is a plus), stockroom work, working with racking systems, customer service, or package handling.

Responsibilities

• Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and on time to meet daily production goals.
• Pick items above ground level when needed, following safety procedures.
• Scan labels, cut boxes, and restock shelves to prepare the work area for the next shift.
• Select products, pull and pack totes, cut merchandise cases, and/or stock products.
• Move full totes and cases onto a conveyor belt.
• Perform general cleaning and basic maintenance duties inside and outside the facility.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms; vacuum and remove carpet spots; sweep and mop floors; clean and dust chairs, partition walls, and other furniture; clean windows and brass; and collect and remove warehouse trash.
• Follow safety procedures and help ensure safe work practices.
