About The Position

The purpose of this job is to safely and efficiently transfer finished goods from one location to another to support the supply chain, fulfilling Pratum’s mission is to be an agricultural cooperative dedicated to innovative solutions, excellent service, and long-term relationships. The following are specific tasks and responsibilities related to this position, but the position may require other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred
  • Valid Class C drivers license with good driving record.
  • Knowledge and experience with warehouse forklift operations

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklift and other technical lift equipment
  • Load outbound freight, unload inbound freight
  • Ensure proper placement and accuracy of inventory and perform cycle counts as needed
  • Pick, wrap and stage orders to be shipped as directed
  • Troubleshoot shipping issues and customer complaints to solve them
  • Perform regularly scheduled maintenance and safety checks on lift equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas
  • Identify safety hazards and report them to the warehouse manager
  • Safely drive loaded and empty curtain van trucks and other transports of various configurations as directed
  • Perform proper pre and post trip truck and trailer inspections
  • Ensure loads are properly loaded and unloaded; handling, hooking and unhooking load-securing equipment
  • Accurately complete driver logs, pre and post trip forms, invoices, and other paperwork as required
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment as able, notify warehouse manager of major problems
  • Identify safety hazards and report those to the warehouse manager
  • Other warehouse support duties as assigned
  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations, maintaining familiarity with the employee handbook
