About The Position

The Warehouse Training Specialist will provide training support for new distribution center employees, particularly during the standing up of new centers. This role involves providing warehouse and on-the-job training to all levels of distribution center or warehouse employees, from clerks to receivers to drivers. The specialist will monitor and track training progress to ensure employees meet onboarding milestones and will travel to various distribution centers and potentially surrounding branches to deliver training. A key aspect of the role is identifying high-potential new employees and mentoring them to ensure they receive all necessary training. The specialist will also collaborate with subject matter experts to maintain the accuracy and currency of training materials and the Crescent Electric Training Guide (CETG). The role requires adherence to safety policies and support of company goals and objectives, including maintaining housekeeping.

• Proficient in computer programs such as Zoom, and Microsoft Office Programs Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability and means to travel up to 75% of the time, with overnight stays.
• Associate's Degree in Operations, Training, or field related to the job duties; or 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of Associate's Degree.
• 1+ year of experience working in a warehouse/distribution center environment.
• 6+ months of experience working in a training and/or lead capacity.
• Demonstrated knowledge of workplace safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as training support for new distribution center employees as part of the standing up of a new distribution center.
• Provide warehouse and on-the-job training for all employees of a distribution center or warehouse, ranging from clerk to receiver to driver.
• Monitor and track training to ensure employees meet onboarding milestones.
• Travel to all distribution centers and possibly surrounding branches to provide training.
• Identify high-potential new employees during training.
• Provide mentorship to employees to ensure they receive all necessary and desired training.
• Partner with subject matter experts to ensure training and Crescent Electric Training Guide (CETG) content is accurate and up to date.
• Support company goals and objectives.
• Adhere to all safety policies.
• Maintain housekeeping, as needed.
