About The Position

Nordstrom is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Warehouse Trainer to support our Supply Chain Operations training programs. This role plays a critical part in ensuring team members and contingent workers are set up for success through high-quality training, clear process documentation, and consistent onboarding experiences. As a Warehouse Trainer, you will serve as a subject matter expert, partnering closely with operations and training leadership to deliver engaging, effective training that drives safety, accuracy, and productivity across the facility.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of distribution, fulfillment center, or training experience
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to teach and engage individuals and groups
  • Ability to coach, motivate, and provide feedback in a constructive and supportive manner
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word)
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Comfort navigating change and ambiguity
  • Ability to analyze information and track training progress

Responsibilities

  • Deliver structured, hands-on training using established training methods (e.g., Tell, Show, Do, Apply)
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in assigned department operations and processes
  • Support onboarding, new hire ramp, and ongoing skills development for team members
  • Conduct observations to identify knowledge gaps and provide real-time coaching and feedback
  • Partner with operations leadership to align on trainee progress, performance, and development plans
  • Facilitate training sessions, classes, and tours for new and existing team members
  • Track and document training completion, progress, and performance metrics
  • Reinforce safety, accuracy, and productivity standards in all training interactions
  • Support process improvements, new initiatives, and training updates across the building
  • Build strong relationships with new hires and serve as a key point of support during onboarding
