About The Position

Responsible for coordinating and training new warehouse employees, typically with relation to an area of the warehouse facility or identified set of activities. This role oversees the Forklift compliance and Operations training program, ensuring proper training of team members on safety & health requirements and policies to ensure compliance with regulations and policies. The trainer observes warehouse activities and conditions, monitors health and safety policy violations, and enforces the prescribed use of safety equipment and the proper application of safety procedures. They also ensure regulatory safety compliance, implement required improvements, and recommend changes to current safety policies and procedures. Additionally, this role assists with New Hire Safety Orientation and develops productive relationships to affect positive safety behavioral and cultural changes, while supporting the Safety and Training Manager.

Requirements

• Regularly stand and walk for 10 or more hours in a day.
• Effectively handle lifting, pushing, pulling up to 60 pounds frequently.
• Frequently required to bend, twist, stoop, grip, climb or balance, reach with hands and arms.
• Use strong math skills to count and multiply accurately.
• Use non-motorized and motorized MHE.
• High school diploma.
• Prior warehouse/distribution experience required.
• Prior use of forklift and other motorized equipment required.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures regulatory safety compliance and implements required improvements; recommends changes to current safety policies and procedures.
• Assists New Hire Safety Orientation to all new warehouse team members.
• Develops productive personal relationships with team members at all levels to affect positive safety behavioral and cultural changes. Completes team member safety observations.
• Supports the Safety and Training Manager.
• Any other reasonable request by management.
