About The Position

This position is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and shipment of medications, supplies, and equipment while ensuring compliance with State Board of Pharmacy regulations and company policies. This role oversees inventory control, shipping documentation, and equipment handling, supporting operational efficiency and safety standards. The position works closely with the pharmacy department to maintain accurate records and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Current and unrestricted pharmacy technician license in the state of practice.
  • Knowledgeable of basic drug terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, drug use and aseptic technique.
  • Must be able to prioritize, multi-task, meet goals and deadlines.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Home care or related health care experience preferred.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and/or electronic health care record software system preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure regulatory compliance by following State Board of Pharmacy regulations and company policies for the proper handling, storage, and disposal of medications, hazardous materials, and pharmaceutical wastes.
  • Oversee daily receiving and shipping operations, including verifying medication and supply packages for damage, tampering, and expiration dates to maintain product integrity.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control by monitoring minimum and maximum shelf quantities, replenishing stock, and updating product locations in the electronic health care record software system.
  • Prepare and manage shipping processes, including assembling supplies, confirming delivery tickets for accuracy, and entering shipment data into carrier systems while tracking deliveries as needed.
  • Oversee medical equipment responsibilities, such as cleaning, testing, and managing serialized equipment data, while coordinating pickups with patients and the purchasing team.
  • Support operational audits and safety checks, including monthly generator and fire extinguisher inspections, quarterly building checks, and compliance with all safety and legal warehousing regulations.
  • Assist with route planning and documentation, ensuring timely completion of daily route sheets and accurate delivery records.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy department and Distribution Manager to complete monthly and quarterly cycle counts, inventory reports, and maintain efficient workflow.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and perform additional duties as assigned by management to support overall distribution and compliance objectives.
  • Other related duties as assigned by manager or designee.
