About The Position

This role is responsible for various warehouse duties to support the facility's operations.

Requirements

  • AA degree in Industrial Maintenance preferred but not required.
  • Warehouse experience preferred, not required.
  • SAP experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to observe details at close range.
  • Ability to control precision with machine or vehicle controls.
  • Manual dexterity to quickly grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
  • Substantial lifting (up to 50 pounds) is required.
  • Ability to move for extended or continuous periods of time.
  • Ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools.
  • Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner.
  • Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern.
  • Must maintain positive customer and employee relations.

Responsibilities

  • Work with personnel in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment, adhering to "Safety First" expectations including PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company/site safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Utilize SAP for creation of shopping carts, SES, tracking POs, receiving goods, etc.
  • Receive and inspect all incoming shipments, checking for damage and shortages.
  • Compare manufacturer part numbers with the computer inventory system (CMMS) and PO to ensure correct parts are received.
  • Record relevant details of each package in the receiver log.
  • Coordinate return shipments to vendors for incorrect parts or overages, with supervisor verification.
  • Ensure all parts are placed in the correct storage location.
  • Create "job kits" for parts ordered through a PO for a work order, ensuring all parts from the PO go to the same kit and kit location.
  • Process parts returned from kitted work orders (return to stock or vendor, with supervisor verification).
  • Prepare parts removed from equipment for shipping as soon as possible and track these items on a spreadsheet.
  • Perform pickups of outgoing shipments as necessary.
  • Operate equipment such as forklift trucks, carts, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Perform job kitting and ensure all parts are identified and kitted for scheduled work.
  • Contribute to team effort and perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
  • Ensure compliance with all company/customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals, including employee development planning.
  • Communicate with team members to assist in short- and long-range planning to support company goals and objectives.
  • Meet physical requirements of the job.
  • Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
  • Complete accurate administrative duties, including time accounting, work order completion, job planning, ordering materials, workload assessment, and updating/reviewing the maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Maintain positive customer and employee relations.
  • Work with Supervisor and Planner to ensure all jobs are kitted and ready for completion.
  • Allocate resources as required, coordinate shutdowns, and contact vendors for plant and maintenance requirements.
