About The Position
ServiceMaster DSI is seeking a Warehouse Technician for its Chicago, Illinois branch. The role manages physical resources, including tools, vehicles, and equipment; supports warehouse efficiency; and assists with equipment safety training for field technicians. The position offers on-the-job training and opportunities for career advancement. Pay is $22–$25 per hour, dependent on experience.
Requirements
- Current forklift certification required on day one.
- DOT certification required on day one.
- Valid state driver's license and clean driving record.
- Basic computer and spreadsheet skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and stand for long periods.
Nice To Haves
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Forms, and Drive) and mobile platforms (Android/iOS).
- IICRC certifications (WRT, Smoke, Odor, or Mold) or 4-Star Certification.
Responsibilities
- Manage, track, and secure shop property, tools, and vehicles.
- Monitor and manage shop consumables in partnership with managers.
- Coordinate pack-outs and move-backs with the Regional Packout Manager.
- Ensure restoration equipment is cleaned, tested, and operational.
- Participate in the field on-call rotation as needed during peak times or disasters.
- Assist with onboarding and training field technicians on proper equipment usage.
