About The Position

C&W Services is the industry leader in cutting-edge maintenance and janitorial programs for facilities ranging from corporate office portfolios and manufacturing plants to large public venues, keeping our client’s facility running smoothly all the time. This role is for a Warehouse Technician, Mid Skilled, located at Cargill Cedar Rapids. The hours are Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM.

Requirements

AA degree in Industrial Maintenance preferred but not required.
Warehouse experience preferred, not required.
SAP experience preferred, but not required.
Ability to observe details at close range.
Ability to control machines or vehicles to exact positions.
Manual dexterity to quickly grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
Ability to perform substantial lifting (up to 50 pounds).
Ability to move for extended or continuous periods of time.
Ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools.
Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner.
Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties.
Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern.
Must maintain positive customer and employee relations.

Responsibilities

Work with personnel in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment, adhering to safety guidelines and procedures.
Utilize SAP for creating shopping carts, SES, tracking POs, and receiving goods.
Receive and inspect all incoming shipments for damage and shortages.
Compare manufacturer part numbers with the computer inventory system (CMMS) and PO to ensure correct parts are received.
Record relevant shipment details in the receiver log.
Coordinate return shipments to vendors for incorrect or overstocked parts, with supervisor verification.
Ensure all parts are stored in the correct locations.
Create "job kits" for parts ordered through a PO for a work order, ensuring all parts go to the same kit and kit location.
Return parts from kitted work orders to stock or vendor, with supervisor verification.
Prepare parts removed from equipment for shipping as soon as possible and track these items on a spreadsheet.
Perform pickups of outgoing shipments as necessary.
Operate equipment such as forklift trucks, carts, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
Perform job kitting and ensure all parts are identified and kitted for scheduled work.
Contribute to team effort and perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
Ensure compliance with all company/customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
Achieve performance expectations and participate in employee development planning.
Communicate with team members to assist in short- and long-range planning.
Meet physical requirements of the job.
Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
Complete accurate administrative duties including time accounting, work order completion, job planning, ordering materials, workload assessment, and updating/reviewing the maintenance management system (CMMS).
Maintain positive customer and employee relations.
Work with Supervisor and Planner to ensure all jobs are kitted and ready for completion.
Allocate resources, coordinate shutdowns, and contact vendors for plant and maintenance requirements.
