About The Position

The Warehouse Technician position is based at the Totowa, NJ plant and reports to a Warehouse Supervisor. This is a second shift role, with hours from 2 PM to 10:30 PM. Corbion specializes in lactic acid, lactic acid derivatives, food preservation solutions, functional blends, and algae ingredients, leveraging deep application and product knowledge. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent.
  • Basic math and ability to read to follow formulas and SOPs.
  • Experienced in performing electronic transactions due to physical movements of ingredients across the production facility.
  • Potential for operating a forklift (training done on site).
  • Able to physically lift up to 55 lbs to re-stack pallets with raw materials containers.
  • Work accurately, methodically and deliberately.
  • Good communication skills and team-oriented mentality.
  • Willingness to work second or third shift with occasional weekend shifts, and overtime hours as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices), FSMA, Safety, and Environmental regulations as well as company policies.
  • Be on time for work and report to your workstation ready to work at the set time.
  • Adhere to break and lunch times.
  • Maintain a positive attitude with a focus on safety, the customer, teamwork, and quality productivity.
  • Reconfigure pallets by picking multiple ingredients in the warehouse and re-stacking full units of ingredients onto other pallets (full units may weigh as much as 55lbs).
  • Weigh out various types of raw materials less than a full pack size according to formula, using a scoop to transfer weight from one container to another.
  • Work in a deliberate manner to achieve KPI’s in specific areas set by supervision.
  • Wear proper PPE depending on the types of material being worked with (PPE will be provided).
  • Attend and participate in training and meetings.
  • Engage in process improvements, make recommendations and suggestions to improve workplace safety, efficiency, and to better serve the customer.
  • Keep the work environment clean and free from debris to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Follow-up on instructions from supervisors or written procedures.
