About The Position

The Warehouse Technician receives, stores, organizes, and distributes tires, materials, equipment, and other items to stock shelves and racks or fulfill customer orders. The role may involve operating power equipment to fill orders. Daily warehouse work includes handling tires and inventory, loading items for delivery, and contributing to a safe, organized, and productive workplace. The position is based at East Bay Tire's Fairfield, California location.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience working in a warehouse as a warehouse technician or forklift operator.
• Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
• Experience performing inventory counts.
• Strong commitment to achieving goals and a teamwork mentality.
• Great communication and interpersonal skills.
• Motivation, good business sense, and understanding.
• Good decision-making and judgment skills.
• Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
• Team-oriented, with initiative and the ability to do what it takes to get the job done.
• Computer skills with programs including Excel, Outlook, and other computer systems.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Self-starter who takes initiative and can work without direct supervision.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds as required for the job.
• Ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and work independently on tight deadlines with multiple priorities.
• Ability to work a flexible or varying schedule to support the team, customers, and deadlines.
• Must be fully authorized to work in the U.S. and physically located in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in the tire industry.
• Bilingual in Spanish.
• Ability to drive and operate a forklift, reach truck, and other types of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in East Bay Tire's Safety program to maintain a healthy and injury-free environment.
• Participate in training and company meetings to support individual and company growth.
• Receive tires and other items by hand or with equipment such as forklifts, scissor-lifts, clapper attachments, dollies, or motorized carts.
• Sort and place tires or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to size, type, and style.
• Pull items from inventory for shipment and load tires for delivery.
• Perform inventory counts.
• Operate a forklift daily for warehousing needs.
• Work on special projects and perform other tasks as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and policies and use proper personal protective equipment.
