About The Position

As a warehouse technician with American Family, you will support daily warehouse operations by ensuring materials and products are received, stored, picked, packed, and shipped accurately, safely, and on time. You will verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing lists, and other documentation; inspects deliveries for damage; and resolve discrepancies by working with internal partners and/or vendors as needed. This is a primarily office-based role, and you will be expected to spend at least 80% of your time (4+ days per week) working from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail through accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative support or customer service role.
  • Basic knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in various PC software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office Suites, Internet Explorer, Outlook, Acrobat, FrontPage).
  • Valid driver's license required plus an acceptable driving record.
  • PIT Certification or obtained within 30 days is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) including stand up forklift, sit down forklift, roll clamp truck, pallet jack, and other powered / non-powered material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records within warehouse systems.
  • Support cycle counts and location organization.
  • Help keep the warehouse orderly to enable efficient fulfillment.
  • Prepare and process shipping documentation (including bills of lading).
  • Support return logistics when needed.
  • Consistently follow all safety procedures and company policies while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrate proven experience using warehouse management and inventory applications to execute transactions and maintain data accuracy (including, but not limited to, Workday).
  • Order and maintain orderly stock of supplies and distributes as needed.
