Requirements

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
  • Possess basic math skills.
  • Ability to perform basic operations using units of American money and weight measurement, and volume.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to take care of problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • A Commercial Driver's License is a requirement in certain regions where a commercial motor vehicle is used.

Responsibilities

  • Staging, shipping and receiving parts, equipment, and supplies.
  • Stocking the parts stores with an appropriate amount of merchandise.
  • Inventory control, including determining levels, identifying and disposing of excess and obsolete inventory, and maintaining system inventory accuracy.
  • Entering inventory into software system.
  • Receiving material into inventory, moving material by quantity between designated locations, and locating/picking material to/from warehouse locations as required.
  • Ensuring accurate part number, quantity, and other data fields entries that impact electronic records of receipts, inventories, location.
  • Resolving discrepancies with material quantities, part numbers.
  • Handling bin locations including optimization.
  • Responsible for will calls.
  • May deliver parts to customer locations or job sites, other parts stores.
  • Practicing safe material handling techniques.
  • Completing training as required, including safety training, certification and testing.
  • Safely operating assigned material handling equipment.
  • Ensuring that all equipment in use has been inspected and is in safe operating condition.
  • Reporting all accidents and unsafe conditions to supervisor.
  • Reinforcing culture of safety by utilizing all appropriate resources to safely perform all functions of the job.
  • Filing of M/S’s, freight bills of lading, equipment packing slips, etc. for inventory reconciliation and audit purposes.
  • Responsible for filing of freight claims for damaged goods.
  • Managing transfers.
