About The Position

The Warehouse Technician I is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of warehouse activities. This role involves managing inventory, fulfilling orders, operating equipment, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The incumbent will work closely with warehouse staff to support daily operations and to ensure timely and accurate processing of shipments.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience of general warehouse practices or an inventory role is preferred.
Maintains a basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, safely and efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team.
Constant (67-100% of workday) standing, walking and use of arms and hands
Frequent (34-66% of workday) bending and squatting
Occasional (0-33% of workday) sitting
Ability to lift 35 lbs
Ability to push and pull 20 lbs.
Auditory and visual skills, to include peripheral vision.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize work.

vocational training or certification in warehouse operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

Receives and verifies all incoming shipments of supplies and equipment.
Ensures the accuracy of incoming orders against purchase orders.
Accurately tracks inventory levels, conducts regular stock checks, and assists with inventory audits.
Updates inventory records and reports discrepancies to management.
Picks, packs, and prepares products for shipment based on order specifications.
Ensures all orders are shipped accurately and in a timely manner.
Performs routine checks and/or maintenance on equipment and reports any issues to management.
Inspects incoming and outgoing products for quality and accuracy.
Reports any damaged or defective products to management and accurately document findings.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure all safety guidelines are adhered to.
Demonstrates consistent, appropriate, and accurate use of the ERP system inventory management tools.
Maintains accurate records of inventory transactions, shipments, and receipts.
Maintains a clean and organized workspace.
Assists in the training of new employees in learning and performing warehouse operations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
