About The Position

Hajoca Corporation is a large, privately-held wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating & cooling, and industrial supplies. Inland Pipe and Supply, a trade name of Hajoca, is seeking a Warehouse Teammate for their Yakima, WA location. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate fulfillment of customer orders and maintaining warehouse operations. The Warehouse Teammate will be responsible for various warehouse duties, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping orders, while adhering to safety standards and company policies.

Requirements

  • 1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience.
  • Possess a proper and valid driver’s license.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

  • Counting, verifying, and receiving incoming vendor shipments and customer return material.
  • Stocking and maintaining the warehouse.
  • Picking, documenting, and packing customer orders in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
  • Handling shipping discrepancies or forwarding appropriate paperwork to the designated employee.
  • Identifying nonstock, special-order material, and damaged material and storing them in proper warehouse locations.
  • Completing necessary documentation for customer shipments delivered via third-party carrier.
  • Loading and unloading trucks, and operating warehouse forklift and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Informing immediate supervisor of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged/defective/nonsaleable merchandise.
  • Ensuring security and controls are in place to protect Profit Center assets.
  • Maintaining warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety, including removing debris and reporting safety issues.
  • Assisting co-workers in servicing customers.
  • Performing all job functions in accordance with the company’s Safety Standards.
  • Successfully completing required safety and compliance training programs.
  • Performing other reasonably related duties as assigned.
