About The Position

Hajoca Corporation is seeking a Warehouse Teammate for their Charlotte, NC location. This role is responsible for various warehouse operations including receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, and shipping. The ideal candidate will be safety and service-oriented, possess strong attention to detail, and contribute to excellent customer satisfaction. The position involves working in a decentralized environment within a Profit Center, which includes a warehouse, counter, and sales office.

Requirements

  • 1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience
  • Knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to quickly develop comprehensive knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers
  • Knowledge of, ability to apply and practice safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment
  • Ability to learn to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment in use at the Profit Center
  • Ability to learn and operate the computer-related systems used for warehouse operations
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Responsibilities

  • Counting, verifying, and receiving incoming vendor shipments and customer return material.
  • Stocking and maintaining the warehouse.
  • Picking, documenting, and packing customer orders in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
  • Handling shipping discrepancies per procedures or forwarding appropriate paperwork to designated employee.
  • Identifying nonstock, special-order material, and damaged material and storing them in proper warehouse locations.
  • Completing necessary documentation for customer shipments delivered via third-party carrier.
  • Loading and unloading trucks, and operating warehouse forklift and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Informing immediate supervisor of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged/defective/nonsaleable merchandise that could impact customer service levels.
  • Ensuring security and controls are in place and upheld to protect Profit Center assets.
  • Maintaining warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety, including removing empty cartons, metal bands, pallets, and other debris.
  • Informing immediate supervisor of safety issues.
  • Assisting co-workers in servicing customers.
  • Performing all job functions in accordance with the company’s Safety Standards.
  • Successfully completing required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
  • Performing other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.
