About The Position

Moore Supply Co., a trade name of Hajoca Corporation, is seeking a Warehouse Teammate/ Delivery Driver for their Killeen, TX location. This role is for an individual who thrives on providing excellent customer service, is safety and service-oriented, and possesses the attention to detail needed for accurate order fulfillment. The position involves both warehouse duties and delivery driving responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Ability to drive a vehicle over 26,001 lbs.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver in accordance with Company policy.
  • Ability to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination before beginning work and at least every two years while employed.
  • 1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience.
  • Knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly develop comprehensive knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Knowledge of, ability to apply and practice safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment.
  • Ability to learn to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment.
  • Ability to learn and operate the computer-related systems used for warehouse operations.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

  • Counting, verifying, and receiving incoming vendor shipments and customer return material.
  • Stocking and maintaining the warehouse.
  • Picking, documenting, and packing customer orders in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
  • Handling shipping discrepancies per procedures or forwarding appropriate paperwork.
  • Identifying nonstock, special-order material, and damaged material and storing them in proper warehouse locations.
  • Completing necessary documentation for customer shipments delivered via third-party carrier.
  • Loading and unloading trucks, operating warehouse forklift and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Informing immediate supervisor of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged/defective/nonsaleable merchandise.
  • Ensuring security and controls are in place to protect Profit Center assets.
  • Maintaining warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety, including removing debris.
  • Assisting co-workers in servicing customers.
  • Performing all job functions in accordance with the company’s Safety Standards.
  • Successfully completing required safety and compliance training programs.
  • Operating trucks safely and in compliance with Company rules, applicable laws, and regulations.
  • Loading the truck at the Profit Center with merchandise to be delivered, ensuring proper securement.
  • Ensuring necessary equipment to safely unload merchandise is available.
  • Affixing appropriate DOT hazmat truck placards if hauling hazardous materials in excess of 1,000 lbs.
  • Understanding shipping documents and having accurate directions to delivery destinations.
  • Reviewing shipping documentation and ensuring order accuracy.
  • Unloading correct merchandise from the truck and placing it as directed by the receiving party.
  • Obtaining legible signatures for all merchandise delivered.
  • Collecting and securing outstanding payments for all cash sale deliveries.
  • Working with customers at the delivery site to resolve shipping discrepancies.
  • Loading the truck at other locations with merchandise (e.g., vendor locations, returns, purchases from other wholesalers).
  • Providing sales leads by noting prospective customer names and addresses.
  • Inspecting the truck and required parts and accessories prior to departure.
  • Keeping the truck clean.
  • Advising management of any mechanical problems with the truck.
  • Completing the Driver’s Daily Vehicle Inspection Report when driving a vehicle with a GVWR of 10,001 lbs. or more if a defect or deficiency is found.
  • Removing keys from the truck at the end of the workday and storing them in the approved location.
