About The Position

This warm and engaging team member will be an integral part of our North Beach Distribution Center. With a growing business, our Picking team members work within a dedicated team to manage customer orders at our fast-paced warehouse. Activities such as pallet building, order status communication, forklift/pallet jack operating and adhering to safety and quality standards will be a part of daily activities, but it doesn’t stop there. Taking pride in your work, routine tasks are done with a dedication to accuracy and customer satisfaction. Verification processes and first-time quality are your mantras. You take and give direction well while working on a team, keeping team members in the know of time-sensitive information. Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience working in a warehouse (Min 2 years required, 3-5 years preferred)
  • 2 years of forklift driver experience, with current certification (Required)
  • Experience with warehouse management systems, utilizing scanner technology and or data entry into desktop required
  • Knowledge of basic arithmetic and mathematics; required
  • Fluent in English for both written and verbal communication
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly through the day
  • Driven to learn other aspects of the business
  • Team player willing to perform other functions outside of designated role or shift
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime & weekends.

Nice To Haves

  • Distribution experience preferably in food and beverage.
  • WMS expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer orders at a fast-paced warehouse.
  • Perform pallet building.
  • Communicate order status.
  • Operate forklift/pallet jack.
  • Adhere to safety and quality standards.
  • Track and pick product throughout the distribution center using a scanner.
  • Ensure picking is done accurately and on time resulting in zero defects.
  • Understand the importance and impact of FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out).
  • Pay attention to customer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot new and common problems.
  • Adapt work to support changing operational needs.
  • Collaborate with others to prevent errors in the process.
  • Pick product to orders averaging a minimum of 2,000+ cases per day while maintaining accuracy.
  • Build perfect pallets.
  • Cycle count orders to confirm accuracy.
  • Maintain a safe and enjoyable work environment while striving for zero safety incidents.
  • Address any safety concerns.
  • Safely transport pallets of product from one location to another.
  • Faithfully conduct pre-shift inspections of forklift/pallet jack.
  • Deliver on commitments.
  • Maintain stellar attendance.
  • Pitch-in to get the job done and delight customers.
  • Train others in distribution processes and equipment.
  • Perform other functions outside of designated role or shift as needed.
