About The Position

Ornua is actively seeking a Warehouse Lead to join the Ornua Family as we continue our growth trajectory. As a Warehouse Lead be overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient material handling, accurate inventory management, and timely order fulfillment. This role acts as a liaison between warehouse staff and management, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain productivity and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand/walk for 10 consecutive hours
  • Willingness to work in a food manufacturing environment with variable temperatures
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to use hands to grasp, grip and manipulate boxes or product
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English

Nice To Haves

  • Prior food manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Knowledge of lean warehouse practices.
  • Ability to understand and communicate in Spanish or another language

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities including receiving, storing, and shipping goods.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with cycle counts and audits.
  • Train and mentor warehouse associates to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with management to implement process improvements.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely and ensure proper maintenance.
  • Resolve issues related to orders, inventory discrepancies, and workflow bottlenecks
  • Perform additional job duties as required by leadership efficiently and safely.
  • Consistent attendance and performance.
  • Lead by example and adhere to all Company and Departmental procedures.
  • Follow all Safety, Food Safety, GMP and HACCP practices.
