Job Purpose Distribute, assign and oversee work scheduled for the day while ensuring all safety procedures are followed. Location: Reading, PA Day shift (Hours: 07:00 am to 03:00 pm)

Responsibilities

  • Must follow all established safety rules and procedures.
  • Must demonstrate integrity while performing duties as per company’s Code of Conduct.
  • Unload trucks – using forklift truck for boxes as well as occasional use of hand truck.
  • Properly store raw materials in warehouse, storage areas, and in proper locations. (Properly labeling materials is a must).
  • Receive and coordinate the delivery of packages (other than raw materials) to their proper locations – including maintenance department, labs, office, shipping, etc.
  • Unload trucks as needed each day.
  • Sweep, pick-up, and all procedures needed to maintain neat appearance to warehouse and storage field.
  • Carefully enter receipts and maintain the receiving procedures to maintain SAP. (Akzo Software Package).
  • Transfer or assist in transfer of materials to and from off-site storage warehouse – maintaining paper work and entering data in SAP.
  • Be a team member and perform any duties described by the leads, supervisors or the Logistics and Warehousing Manager.
  • Perform area housekeeping responsibilities.
  • Unload tankers
  • Cycle count and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain metric boards.
  • Maintain standards established by our 5's program for organization, keeping areas cleaned and properly labeled.
  • Conduit between Customer Service and the Raw material warehouse.
  • Support inventory management to ensure minimal inventory write off.
  • Transfer or assist in transfer of material to and from off-site storage warehouse maintaining paper work and entering data in SAP.
