Under the general supervision of the Supply Chain Operation Manager or Supply Tech Supervisor, the supply technician is responsible for receiving and delivery of goods/equipment, shipping of goods/equipment, storage, stocking and distribution of medical supplies, restocking of specialty carts and clinical par areas, and for the disinfection, storage and distribution of patient care equipment used by departments, clinics and nursing units throughout the Facility. This role requires maintaining utmost confidentiality, adhering to hospital policies and procedures, and demonstrating ethical business practices. The technician will also report safety concerns, manage PAR levels, process requisitions, pick, pack, and deliver supplies, answer customer inquiries, put away freight, break down boxes, communicate low stock levels, restock supply areas, monitor and rotate stock, and perform cycle counts. Additionally, they will follow infection control procedures and maintain clean and orderly work areas. As a Shipping and Receiving Technician, they will meet delivery vehicles, unload supplies, verify quantities against freight bills, inspect goods for damage, open packages to verify contents, deliver inventory and special orders, obtain signatures for deliveries, tag capital equipment, prepare return goods shipments, and maintain a log of shipments. As an Equipment Distribution Technician, they will ensure equipment is plugged in, log equipment for repair, manage consignment inventory, ensure documentation is accurate, clean and sanitize equipment, maintain par levels on clinical units, check and restock crash carts, disaster carts, and traction carts, assist customers with supplies, and manage the return of rental equipment.
