About The Position

The Distribution Warehouse Supervisor (3rd shift) is responsible for supervising an assigned functional area within the operation that is associated to receiving, order fulfillment, or shipping activities. This role sets clear work priorities, maintains a visible floor presence, removes barriers to safe and timely execution and holds the team accountable for quality, productivity, service, and inventory accuracy.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years distribution or manufacturing supervision experience.
Experience with Lean/Six Sigma problem solving tools.
Strong communication skills (oral and written).
Must be analytical and well organized.
Must have strong knowledge of Blue Yonder or other WMS.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree – Business, Logistics or related field, preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan and communicate workload, staffing assignments and service priorities; adjust resources as conditions change.
Supervise warehouse associates complete all daily activities and execute according to schedule and defined procedures.
Use the WMS to track orders, inventory and labor; maintain accurate records and shift reports.
Train/coach Team Leaders so they understand and can execute all assigned duties.
Conduct performance appraisals for hourly associates.
Provide associates with coaching/counseling as needed and ongoing developmental opportunities.
Conduct daily shift handoff meetings to ensure continuity of operations.
Lead safe work practices, required training, and incident reporting in partnership with site HSE leader.
Actively participate in facility-wide improvement projects.
