About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees operations within their area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with logistics and company quality and safety standards. This role involves developing and maintaining procedures, analyzing business reports to identify operational improvements, and resolving day-to-day associate challenges. The supervisor manages associates by directing, assigning duties, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, and providing feedback, while also identifying training and development needs. They are responsible for coordinating job-related activities, building relationships with stakeholders, and ensuring goals are met. Additionally, the supervisor provides opportunities for associate development through hiring, training, mentoring, and recognition, fostering a culture of belonging. They manage work plans and workloads to meet deadlines, resolve issues, and audit progress. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field OR 1 year's Walmart Logistics Management experience OR 2 years' experience in Dairy processing, manufacturing, or food processing.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field, AND 1 year's supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure area of responsibility is compliant with Logistics and company quality and safety standards policies, procedures, and directives.
  • Develop, distribute, and/or maintain procedures and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare, review, and/or analyze business reports and utilize data to identify operational improvements (e.g., production, quality, safety).
  • Complete and prioritize work assignments using policies, data, and resources.
  • Collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners.
  • Identify deadlines and expectations, carry out tasks, and communicate progress.
  • Determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities.
  • Identify and ensure associate, customer, and supplier concerns are resolved.
  • Adapt to change, difficulties, and feedback.
  • Assist to resolve day-to-day associate challenges by communicating with production managers, checking QA inventory capacity, and resolving problem freight issues.
  • Provide subject matter experts, department contacts, or other managers as needed to help address concerns.
  • Manage associates in area of responsibility by directing, assigning duties, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.
  • Teach, support, and model plant policies and procedures.
  • Identify training and development needs and make recommendations in the hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates.
  • Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Support plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs.
  • Identify and communicate goals and objectives.
