About The Position

State Electric Supply Co., a leader in the electrical distribution industry since 1952, is seeking a dedicated and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to join their team. This role is crucial for overseeing daily warehouse and delivery operations, ensuring timely and efficient customer deliveries, and collaborating with other departments to maintain operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with employees, vendors, and branch leadership.
• Effective leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
• In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, safety procedures, delivery processes, and inventory management practices.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and resolve issues efficiently.
• Excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
• Ability to lift, carry, or move items up to 25 pounds as needed.
• Capability to navigate and access all areas of the warehouse and delivery vehicles.
• Ability to work in varying environments, including exposure to heat, cold, and noise as typical in warehouse and delivery settings.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in logistics, business, or related field preferred.
• Supervisory experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse and delivery operations.
• Ensure timely and efficient customer deliveries, addressing any issues or delays.
• Coordinate warehouse operations to support accurate and timely order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and delivery, to ensure efficient workflows and customer satisfaction.
• Identify areas for operational improvements and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, DOT regulations, OSHA standards, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Manage routine maintenance of warehouse equipment and building infrastructure as needed.
• Participate in branch meetings to discuss operational updates, challenges, and improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
