About The Position

Pretium Packaging is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor for our plant in Salt Lake City, Utah. Seeking bilingual candidates; candidates for this position must be able to read, write, and speak Spanish fluently. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a wide variety of warehouse activities including shipping and receiving raw materials and/or finished goods and maintaining inventory and associated records. You’ll also be supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in receiving, transporting, stacking, order filling, shipping, and maintaining stock records in the warehouse. Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in a warehouse.
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience
  • A strong safety background including experience with employee training and conducting safety audits
  • IQMS experience
  • Fluency with MS Office Suite
  • Exemplary customer service skills
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak Spanish fluently.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve elevated levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching, and assuring quality of goods.
  • Organize and maintain inventory and warehouse area.
  • Ensure shipments and inventory transactions’ accuracy.
  • Communicate job expectations and coach employees.
  • Determine staffing levels and assign workload.
  • Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems regarding shipments/logistics.
  • Maintain items record, document necessary information, and utilize reports to project warehouse status.
  • Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
  • Align warehouse operations with other departments such as customer service, production, and maintenance.
  • Schedule inbound and outbound shipments as necessary, load and unload trucks.
  • Conduct weekly cycle counts on all finished goods and raw material, verify all counts are accurate as shown in the system.
  • Maximize warehouse efficiency.
  • Forecasting future warehouse activities; this can mean allocating or managing space for inventory items with the help of other departments or external businesses.
