About The Position

Connexion is a leading distributor of electrical supplies and energy solutions. We’re a fast-paced, high-volume operation looking for someone who can take ownership of our receiving process and help keep things running smoothly day to day. This role will act as the main point of contact for receiving while also supporting and stepping in for the Receiving Lead when needed. It’s a mix of coordination, problem-solving, and hands-on warehouse support. This is primarily a desk-based role, but there will be cross-functional responsibilities and duties included in the day-to-day of this position.

Requirements

  • 2–4+ years of warehouse receiving experience (lead or supervisory experience preferred)
  • Ability to understand a complex supply chain and work with other steps in the chain to deliver quality products and services to customers.
  • Strong ERP/WMS experience and solid computer skills (Excel and Word especially)
  • Must be extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable taking a high volume of calls and handling email communication professionally
  • Able to juggle multiple priorities at once and stay on top of longer-term tasks like open and unresolved claims
  • A process-driven thinker who can problem-solve, not just react
  • Comfortable sitting at a desk most of the day in a warehouse setting
  • Forklift experience required (won’t be used daily, but still part of the role)
  • Ability to delegate tasks and communicate with a team effectively
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
  • High school diploma required; some college preferred

Responsibilities

  • Acting as the primary contact for all receiving-related communication (calls, emails, internal requests)
  • Scheduling inbound deliveries and coordinating with carriers, then updating the delivery board and keeping everything organized
  • Working closely with purchasing, inside sales, and project managers to plan incoming shipments, prioritize urgent orders, and solve receiving issues
  • Managing overage, shortage, and damage (OS&D) claims from start to finish, including working with vendors and carriers to resolve them
  • Order issue resolution and fixing PO discrepancies, missing POs, and packing list issues in the system.
  • Supporting the receiving team by translating priorities into daily tasks and helping keep workflow moving
  • Training and guiding team members on proper receiving processes and safety when needed
  • Stepping in as backup leadership if the Receiving Lead is not present
  • Keeping accurate records, logs, and documentation (both in the system and physically organized)
  • Using the ERP/WMS system to track inventory and resolve issues in the warehouse
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities and helping standardize procedures throughout the stock side of the warehouse.
  • Scheduling and tracking maintenance for forklifts and other equipment
  • Monitors orders in process to ensure receiving and picking processes are flowing smoothly during the day.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management
