Responsible for the receipt, verification, storage, and record keeping of materials received and shipped. This role involves interacting effectively with the public and Team Members, performing excellent guest service, and verifying and maintaining records of incoming and outgoing shipments. The clerk will check incoming merchandise against shipping manifests and worksheets, inspect product quality, and assist Inventory Control with the receiving process for inventoried items. They will receive packages from various carriers, record received items in MMS, and turn in paperwork to Accounting. Additionally, the role includes marking materials, moving products to storage or designated areas, and cooperating with Accounts Payable and Inventory Control. Preparing packages for shipment, maintaining receiving files, and adhering to safety standards for handling equipment are also key responsibilities. The position also entails performing routine clerical duties, housekeeping, and maintaining consistent attendance. The clerk will perform any reasonable request made by management.
