About The Position

Redwood Farms Meat Processors is looking to fill a brand new role of Warehouse Supervisor to help oversee our packaging, freezer, and shipping departments, ensure inventory accuracy and managing outbound freight, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment. This position will provide a base salary, dependent on experience.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years’ experience in fresh/frozen food warehouse, shipping, inventory experience
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail
  • Demonstrate desirable behaviors such as attendance and adherence to FUI values
  • Ability to operate basic computer systems such as inventory/shipping system, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Advanced written and verbal communication with the ability to maintain accurate records
  • Strong sense of initiative and problem-solving with the ability to manage time/deadlines and delegate work
  • Willingness to work additional hours or perform work in other areas of the facility, as requested
  • Ability to read metric or standard measurements
  • Ability to work in a facility that processes hogs
  • Must be 18 years of age or older for insurance purposes

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) skills, highly preferred
  • Paycom experience, a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage freezer, shipping, and packaging teams to support safe, efficient daily operations and timely product movement
  • Monitor product readiness and inventory levels to support the confirmed shipping schedule
  • Partner with the Shipping/Receiving Coordinator to plan load-out volumes, dock capacity, and shipping priorities
  • Execute fresh and frozen load-outs according to the confirmed shipping schedule and dock appointments
  • Communicate product readiness, warehouse capacity, or loading constraints to the Shipping/Receiving Coordinator
  • Verify container and trailer availability prior to staging loads and prepare the daily “make sheet” for next-day cold-side operations
  • Maintain control of USDA stamps and coordinate USDA approval for export loads
  • Inspect trailers with carriers for cleanliness and food-safe conditions prior to loading
  • Monitor trailer temperatures and refrigeration operation, including occasional weekend checks as needed
  • Coordinate trailer movement and yard truck activity to support shipping flow
  • Organize cooler and freezer space for efficient storage and load-out
  • Manage dry goods inventory and support accurate end-of-day inventory reporting
  • Ensure trailer doors and shipping areas are secured at the end of the day
  • Coordinate annual freezer inventory for audit purposes
  • Maintain regular and predictable on-site attendance
