About The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for front line daily operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing products or materials. Your duties will involve supervising and training warehouse staff, enforcing safety and quality standards, and optimizing inventory control processes. Collaboration with various departments, implementing process improvements, and ensuring compliance with regulations are key aspects of this role. This role is fast-paced and will require use of heavy equipment in a moderate to high volume environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or college.
• Proficient with computers, excellent communication skills, and supervisory skills.
• Experience within shipping and receiving.
• Constant mobility between sitting, phone, warehousing, and standing.
• Use peripheral vision to operate warehouse equipment.
• May be required to lift up to 100 lbs. on a team lift.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and manages daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing products or materials.
• Ensures efficient utilization of space and equipment within the warehouse.
• Supervises and train warehouse staff, including hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Develops and enforces standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Coordinates with other departments, such as logistics, procurement, and customer service, to fulfill orders and resolve issues.
• Enforces compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Addresses any issues or concerns raised by warehouse staff or management promptly and effectively.
• Identifies areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Prepares reports and analyze data related to warehouse performance, such as throughput, inventory accuracy, and labor utilization.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization within the warehouse to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Collaborates with vendors and suppliers to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments.
• Participates in strategic planning and goal setting to support the overall objectives of the organization.
• Other duties, as assigned.
