About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control. This role requires strong leadership to manage a team of 15-50 associates, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and safety in all warehouse activities. The supervisor will monitor key performance indicators, implement process improvements, and maintain compliance with safety regulations. Additionally, the role involves managing warehouse equipment, preparing reports, communicating with various stakeholders, and resolving operational issues.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3–5+ years of progressive warehouse experience
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) — e.g., Accellos, SAP, Oracle, or similar
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Forklift certification and knowledge of material handling equipment
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and inventory software
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and safety
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the warehouse for extended periods
  • Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally
  • Comfortable working in varying temperatures (hot/cold warehouse environments)

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
  • Experience with lean principles, continuous improvement, and 5S methodology

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise 15–50 warehouse associates, providing coaching, training, performance feedback, scheduling, and disciplinary actions.
  • Oversee receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control processes, ensuring accurate and timely order processing.
  • Monitor KPIs such as order accuracy, on-time shipments, labor productivity, and cycle count accuracy.
  • Implement process improvements and lean warehousing practices.
  • Enforce company safety policies, OSHA standards, and warehouse best practices, conducting safety meetings, audits, and incident investigations.
  • Maintain high inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, etc.) and coordinate repairs.
  • Prepare daily/weekly reports on operational performance.
  • Communicate effectively with upper management, other departments, and external carriers.
  • Address operational issues such as bottlenecks, staffing shortages, or customer complaints in real-time.
