Warehouse Supervisor – OSP Telecommunications / CIFA
About The Position
Buckley Cable Construction is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor for our Miami, Florida operations with a strong background in OSP telecommunications equipment, inventory control, material management, and CIFA tracking. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operation and accountability of our Miami warehouse, including receiving, issuing, tracking, reconciling, and maintaining telecommunications construction materials and equipment. Experience with OSP telecommunications inventory is required. Experience managing Comcast inventory and customer-supplied materials is a strong plus.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse supervisory or inventory management experience.
- OSP telecommunications equipment and material experience required.
- Experience with CIFA tracking and inventory accountability.
- Knowledge of common OSP, HFC, fiber, aerial, and underground telecommunications materials.
- Strong understanding of receiving, issuing, transfers, returns, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation.
- Ability to identify and investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience supervising warehouse personnel and enforcing established procedures.
- Strong computer and inventory-management system skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with field personnel, management, subcontractors, and customers.
- Ability to safely operate or become qualified to operate standard warehouse equipment as required.
Nice To Haves
- Comcast inventory/material management experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with Comcast customer-supplied materials and inventory procedures.
- Previous experience with a telecommunications contractor, cable operator, or OSP construction company.
- Experience supporting HFC, FDX, fiber, aerial, and underground construction operations.
- Experience preparing for and successfully completing customer inventory audits.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the Miami warehouse.
- Maintain accurate CIFA tracking and material accountability.
- Receive, inspect, document, and properly store incoming OSP telecommunications materials.
- Issue materials to employees, construction crews, subcontractors, and projects while maintaining accurate records.
- Track materials from receipt through issuance, transfer, return, and reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and immediately investigate discrepancies.
- Perform routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Maintain strict accountability of customer-owned and company-owned materials.
- Properly identify, organize, and control high-value telecommunications equipment and inventory.
- Coordinate material needs with Project Managers, Field Supervisors, Construction Coordinators, and Operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify shortages before they impact field production.
- Process material returns and ensure unused materials are properly accounted for.
- Maintain accurate records for damaged, missing, transferred, or returned materials.
- Ensure warehouse transactions and supporting documentation are completed accurately and on time.
- Supervise warehouse personnel and establish clear daily responsibilities and expectations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, secure, and audit-ready warehouse.
- Enforce warehouse safety procedures and proper material-handling practices.
- Provide management with regular updates regarding inventory shortages, discrepancies, and outstanding material issues.
