About The Position

This role is part of WinField United, which supplies agricultural inputs, expertise, and technology to member-owners and other partners. The Warehouse Supervisor manages and coordinates warehouse employees and is responsible for warehouse operations at the Story City, Iowa Distribution Center. The role provides leadership, direction, and development for warehouse employees in a one-shift, five-day-a-week operation. The supervisor leads and develops the first-shift staff, contributing to the maintenance and ongoing development of site standards for safety, production, service, quality, inventory control, and employee development. The position also maintains effective business relationships with local sales team members, customer service, other WinField locations, and corporate shared-services business partners. The regular schedule is 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The role may require evening and weekend work to meet business needs. The location operates five days a week, with weekends as needed. The salary range is $70,800 to $106,200; in most cases, employment offers are expected to be near the middle of the range.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of experience managing people.
At least 2 years of experience in operations and/or warehouse management.
Ability to demonstrate successful past leadership in operations, warehouse management, and/or managing personnel.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, smartphones, and other hardware and software.
Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
Ability to perform frequent active movements, including walking, standing, bending or stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, and climbing.
Ability to perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment.
Ability to work for extended periods in cold and/or hot temperature zones, potentially in areas where dust and chemicals are present.

Nice To Haves

Candidates in Land O’Lakes rotational programs (TAP/MMT/DMT) will be considered.
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, engineering sciences, supply chain, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience managing people.
Practical experience building sales and inventory forecasts, collaborating with internal supply chain partners, and/or managing a substantial budget.
Experience working with DOT regulations, EH&S programs, and other compliance and safety procedures.
Forklift experience.

Responsibilities
