About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the proper staging of raw materials for production, managing material movements and shipments in SAP, and coordinating shipments to outside warehouses. This role involves proactive communication with team members and management regarding shipping issues and stock transfers, and collaboration with customer service and the Sales Management Team to meet customer requirements. The supervisor will also assist management in warehouse walkthroughs to ensure proper labeling and physical inventory checks, and produce and set up label templates per customer needs. Key duties include verifying, inspecting, and documenting the receipt of all materials, weighing incoming railcars and hopper trucks, ensuring proper inspection, sampling, and testing, and verifying COA approvals. The role requires completing SAP transactions, filling out inspection checklists for hopper trucks, inspecting empty railcars, directing carriers for unloading, ensuring proper hose connections, and overseeing adherence to loading/unloading procedures. The supervisor is also responsible for coordinating year-end physical inventory, including scheduling and team assignments, and overseeing daily cycle counts, including assigning tasks, reviewing counts, and submitting discrepancy reports. Additionally, the role involves overseeing recycling efforts, picking and coordinating customer orders, performing monthly RR track inspections, coordinating RR repairs, and training employees on Material Handling Equipment. Compliance with customer, safety, ISO/IATF 16949 QMS, and ISO14001 EMS requirements is mandatory, along with performing any other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Certified Forklift driver
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50lbs
  • Professional skills and knowledge of manufacturing process of our product.

Responsibilities

  • Insure proper raw materials are staged in a timely manner for production.
  • Post material movements, shipments in SAP.
  • Coordinate shipments to outside warehouses.
  • Proactively communicate with all team members, including management, on shipping issues and stock transfers.
  • Work with customer service and Sale Management Team to coordinate and implement processes to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Assist Management with visiting/walking through warehouse(s) to ensure boxes are labeled per customer requirements while also physically checking inventory.
  • Produce and ensure label templates are setup per customer requirements.
  • Verify, inspect and document the receipt of all raw materials, finished goods, and other goods.
  • Weigh incoming railcars and hopper trucks.
  • Ensure proper inspection, sampling and testing, if required, of materials.
  • Verify that the Quality Coordinator has approved the COA for the material.
  • Complete transaction in SAP.
  • For raw material received in hopper trucks, complete all applicable sections of the Hopper Truck/Car Inspection Check-list Loading Form.
  • Inspect empty railcar compartments once pack-out completed.
  • Direct carrier to the proper railcar and compartment for unloading.
  • Ensure all hoses are properly connected and secured.
  • Ensure Carrier is following Mytex Loading & Unloading procedures.
  • Obtain weight of the empty material and empty Hopper Car.
  • Ensure that all dock doors and dock levelers are inspected and confirmed to be in proper working condition.
  • Verify that Material Handling Equipment is being checked daily and in proper working condition, schedule Preventative Maintenance for Material Handling Equipment, and schedule maintenance in accordance with company standards.
  • Responsible for coordinating Year end Physical inventory. Setting the schedule and teams and how count is to be conducted.
  • Coordinates and oversees day-to-day execution of cycle counts, assigns material selections, assigns counters, reviews count sheets, oversees recounts, submits discrepancy reports, and ensures procedure compliance.
  • Oversee recycling efforts in Mytex GA.
  • Pick and coordinate all customer orders per customer orders.
  • Preform monthly RR track inspections.
  • Coordinate RR repairs as needed.
  • Train employees on Material Handling Equipment.
  • Visually inspect each compartment of the railcar to ensure all material has been emptied.
  • Ensure that all valves and hatches have been closed and that railcar is prepared for RTS.
  • Comply with all applicable customer, safety, ISO/IATF 16949 QMS, and ISO14001 EMS requirements.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
