About The Position

UCT is seeking a talented Warehouse Supervisor to join their Service Division in Phoenix, AZ. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, material storage, order fulfillment, shipping, and logistics. It is a hands-on leadership position that provides daily direction and support to warehouse personnel, ensuring safety, inventory accuracy, quality, and on-time delivery. The Warehouse Supervisor will collaborate closely with Operations, Quality, Planning, and Customer Service teams to meet customer requirements and operational goals, spending the majority of the workday on the warehouse floor actively leading and supporting activities.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, and material flow practices.
  • Ability to lead employees in a fast-paced manufacturing or service environment.
  • Experience with ERP, WMS, inventory management, and material tracking systems.
  • Understanding of inventory control processes, cycle counting, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines and customer commitments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of warehouse, inventory control, logistics, or distribution experience in a manufacturing, semiconductor, industrial services, or related environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Experience with ERP systems, inventory transactions, and material traceability processes.
  • Experience managing shipping, receiving, and inventory control functions.
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, and grasp throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, where authorized.
  • Ability to use computers, mobile devices, scanners, and warehouse systems for extended periods.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and electronically.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
  • Associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.
  • Experience working in a quality-driven operational environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, inventory control, material handling, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and customer deliveries.
  • Lead warehouse personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate movement of materials throughout the facility.
  • Develop and manage staffing schedules to support operational requirements and customer delivery commitments.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counting, reconciliation activities, physical inventories, and adherence to inventory control procedures.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound shipments to ensure compliance with customer requirements, quality standards, and shipping schedules.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, quality management systems, and safety requirements.
  • Train, develop, coach, and evaluate warehouse employees to support individual and team performance objectives.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Production, Planning, Quality, and Customer Service teams to support workflow priorities and customer expectations.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shipping issues, and material handling concerns.
  • Monitor and maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and material traceability requirements.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Analyze warehouse performance metrics and implement process improvements to improve efficiency, inventory accuracy, safety, and service levels.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean manufacturing and operational excellence principles.
  • Assist with customer audits, internal audits, and compliance activities as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve warehouse processes and operational effectiveness.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities focused on safety, quality, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
  • Support implementation of new systems, processes, and operational initiatives.
