About The Position

Royal Switchgear, an MPS Company, is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for the Night Shift. This role is responsible for supervising hourly employees in a manufacturing warehouse environment, ensuring efficient operations, compliance with regulations, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The position is located onsite in Bessemer, Alabama.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 5+ years of experience required
2+ years of Propane Forklift experience required
Working knowledge of warehouse operations, policies, and procedures
Proven ability to lead, direct, and develop employees
Proficiency with data entry and inventory software and systems.
Experience with personnel decisions including hiring, performance management, and disciplinary actions

Nice To Haves

supervisory experience strongly preferred
WMS experience and knowledge preferred
ERP system knowledge (JD Edwards preferred)

Responsibilities

Assisting Inventory Control & Logistics Manager with hiring and training of new employees.
Scheduling and overseeing warehouse staff.
Conduct physical inventory, compares results to computerized inventory as it is delivered.
Prioritizing daily work for the team based on production needs.
Resolving inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
Replenishing stock and inventory as needed.
Ensuring that all stock is stored in the correct location in the warehouse.
Scheduling material being picked for internal and external processes.
Collaborating with the Inventory Control & Logistics Manager to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase the efficiency of warehouse practices.
Enforce operating instructions and safety policies.
Performing other related duties assigned.
