The Warehouse Supervisor - Nights is responsible for directly overseeing daily shift operations, including selection, shipping, receiving, cross-docking, interleaving, and trailer loading. This role involves reviewing orders, conferring with various personnel to exchange information and resolve problems, and supervising the daily activity of warehouse and dispatch Team Members. The supervisor assigns work, monitors productivity to ensure high standards of quality, accuracy, housekeeping, product damage minimization, safety, and overall efficiency. Key responsibilities include planning assignments to ensure proper paperwork flow, product consolidation, and locating missing product to enhance customer satisfaction. The role also focuses on ensuring on-time deliveries, promoting safety through education and enforcing safety rules, communicating policies and SOPs, and conducting start-up shift meetings. Maintaining a clean and orderly facility, minimizing product damage, and fostering high Team Member morale are also crucial. This position involves training, coaching, feedback, and regular evaluations of Team Members, as well as resolving Team Member relations issues and investigating operational errors. The supervisor will work with the Operations Manager on disciplinary actions, create and support recognition programs, and coordinate with management to maintain inventory accuracy and quality control standards. Shift handoff coordination, ensuring accuracy of timesheets, and reporting operating issues and recommendations to senior management are also part of the role. The supervisor may drive vehicles or operate machines/equipment, must have reliable attendance, and perform all duties in conformance with safety and security standards.
