Requirements

  • Supervisory experience required, preferably in Warehousing
  • Certified Fork Lift Driver and/or Trainer
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Safety awareness and quality consciousness
  • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms and very occasionally to climb or balance.
  • The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
  • It is required to act in a safe and environmentally responsible manner at all times by adhering to all ALPLA policies and procedures and Safety Standards (OSHA).

Nice To Haves

  • 2 year Degree (Associates) in related field or equivalent preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in Warehousing/Supply Management preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensures accurate inventory
  • Organizes the warehouse inventory with section chart and row count
  • Ensures received shipments into AlplaProd inventory system
  • Ensures inverse logistics for secondary packaging
  • Ensures correct shipments
  • Monitors shipments to ensure timely receipt, ascertain any damages, and verify correct quantity
  • Prepares correct Bill of Ladings
  • Ensures TMS (Transport Management System) usage and compliance for carrier selection and communication
  • Schedules pickup, deliveries, and repairs for vendors to ensure a smooth operating warehouse (i.e., waste, fuel, forklift, equipment, etc.)
  • Supervises warehouse associates and ensures the team works together as efficiently as possible
  • Assesses training needs of staff and ensures execution of training
  • Ensures the Pay by Skill program implementation and adherence
  • Ensures staff are brought in to cover absenteeism and holidays
  • Correctly records time and attendance of team
  • Ensures all employees understand and follow company policies and procedures
  • Keeps a clean and safe work environment, following all company procedures and guidelines outlined by OSHA
  • Identifies unsafe behaviors and unsafe conditions and leads risk assessments
  • Communicates with customers as needed
  • Others described in their standard work
