About The Position

The individuals selected for this position are responsible for monitoring and supervising a team's efficiency and ensuring company goals and objectives are being met by each employee. This role has supervisory responsibilities, and candidates must understand and execute subordinates' job functions. The position requires the ability to travel to local and state facilities as required, and attendance and timeliness are mandatory. This is not a job that can be done from home.

Requirements

  • Over the age of 21.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions or memos.
  • Ability to talk and communicate with coworkers and guests.
  • Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
  • Ability to create scheduling and delegating tasks, plan meetings, share and configuring calendars electronically.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in both whole numbers and in fractions and decimals without the aid of a calculator or abacus.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Regularly requires standing, walking, or bending; use of hands and fingers to handle or feel; reaching with hands and arms; climbing or balance; talking and hearing.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with proper tools.
  • Must be able to use an industrial machine to move pallets up to 2400 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Microsoft Excel and Office proficiency.

  • Strong Verbal and Written Communication skills.
  • Ability to handle inventory discrepancies and employees.
  • Proven experience in Operations as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar role within e-commerce or distribution center with KPI and customer service skills.
  • Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse workforce.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems.
  • Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
  • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, cherry picker/reach machine and other warehouse machinery safely.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing inventory and operational processes.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and other departments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience is sometimes the best education.
  • Counting is a major plus.
  • Knowing when to come in from the rain is a plus.
  • A high school diploma or a general education degree (GED) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor employee productivity and performance expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with senior management and other departments.
  • Learn and perform subordinates' job descriptions, including warehouse associates, drivers, and cleaning crew.
  • Maintain and teach organization skills.
  • Responsible for inventory integrity.
  • Responsible for vehicle maintenance.
  • Responsible for on-time customer order delivery.
  • Ensure product replenishment for daily volume needs.
  • Partner with upper management for employee coaching and training.
  • Create a weekly or bi-weekly schedule for employees.
  • Monitor and supervise employee attendance and punctuality.
  • Efficiently carry out all directives given by the Management Team.
  • Ensure a clean workplace.
  • Work in accordance with all safety regulations of Specs Family Partners and OSHA.
  • Possess time management skills and be able to prioritize tasks and meet the demands of the day.
  • Be available to travel to local and state facilities as required.
  • Maintain attendance and timeliness.
  • Understand and execute subordinates' job functions.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
  • Manage inventory and operational processes.
  • Interact effectively with team members and other departments.
