About The Position

This position leads and supports all material handling and distribution functions in the warehouse. This includes direct supervision of warehouse personnel; regulatory compliance; inventory management; performance tracking and reporting; employee staffing, training and development; and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years in a production or supply chain (planning, purchasing, materials management, etc.), manufacturing or technical field role required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Outlook required.
  • Demonstrated experience in problem solving, project management and communication
  • Ability to work weekends and be on-call
  • Valid Driver’s License in good standing (if required to operate a company vehicle)

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 6 months of previous MRP or ERP experience preferred; prior JD Edwards experience strongly preferred.
  • Leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Training, supporting, and supervising direct reports
  • Uphold Hawkins Incorporated’s standard of excellence through a continuous commitment of providing quality products and services to internal and external customers
  • Assist, inventory levels and
  • Ability to safely operate independently while adhering to all company Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)s and
  • Complying with all applicable Federal, State, and Corporate environmental, safety and health regulations
  • Responsible for, but not limited to knowing the equipment and process operation; handle, transfer, ship, receive and store chemical material
  • Pick orders, load and unload trucks
  • Oversee inventory process
  • Apply all product quality and safety standards as well as report any product safety incidents to the Supervisor, Manager, or designated back-up (applicable to positions working in accordance with specific plant or company certifications).
  • Coach and provide direction to employees as part of a leadership team
  • Manage blending and packaging to production schedule and oversee quality testing
  • Coordinate loading/unloading and release of trucks and railcars
  • Partner with Quality on compliance
  • Partner with Maintenance for scheduling production maintenance
  • Training of employees
  • Cycle counting and inventory control
  • Perform other miscellaneous related duties, as needed
