About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining operational plans, meeting financial objectives, and ensuring all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met. This role requires hands-on involvement in daily operations, setting an example for the team, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards. The supervisor will also be responsible for measuring and managing the performance of warehouse employees, training them on company policies, and maintaining a clean and organized facility.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in logistics, business administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience on CFS, warehouse operations supervisory experience, specifically air freight inbound/outbound, receiving and shipping.
  • Proven experience with international freight management air/ocean.
  • Proven experience in warehouse management, structure and organization with emphasis on process analysis/engineering and cost analysis.
  • Experienced with warehouse management systems.
  • Proven teamwork and reporting to weekly department head meeting to review daily issues and determine actions to solve them.
  • Strong tactical (hands on) supervisory experience.
  • Leading skills to coordinate with other supervisors, customer service and warehouse floor teams.
  • Excellent organization, analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multitasking environment and work constructively under pressure.
  • Ability to supervise multiple projects, delegate to appropriate staff, and meet specific goals and deadlines.
  • Candidate must be self-motivated, customer-service oriented, and eager to ensure the success of the team.
  • Ability to function independently, with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Follow work procedures and standards to compete at the highest level of logistics service providers.
  • Maintain operational plans, including objectives, targets, labor hours, KPIs, action plans, and budgets.
  • Meet financial objectives for the facility.
  • Utilize full functionality of WMS, including RF, and management/performance functions to drive efficiency.
  • Manage inbound and outbound loads, transload operations, and KPI management using TMS.
  • Ensure all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
  • Coordinate activities with other functions and suppliers for optimum productivity and utilization of resources.
  • Review productivity and operating reports, and resolve operational and customer service problems.
  • Measure performance of warehouse employees.
  • Train employees on and ensure compliance with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Determine responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized facility that is “tour ready" at all times.
  • Process cargo physically and be hands-on facing the day-to-day operation.
  • Ensure compliance with rules and laws relating to USA warehousing and distribution regulations (CTPAT, OSHA, ISO, etc.).
  • Ensure safety standards in MEC’s logistics facility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Department Manager.
