About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor facilitates warehouse operations to ensure Benjamin Steel meets or exceeds customer expectations safely and efficiently, consistent with company policy. The position supervises and develops staff, oversees the accuracy and safety of material loads, coordinates receiving, shipping, stocking, truck dispatch, inter-branch transfers, and work between shifts. Good attendance is an essential function of the job.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 5 years of experience in warehousing, production, or leadership responsibilities.
Excellent organizational, math, logistical, and communication skills.
Knowledge of warehousing, material processing, and product applications.
Ability to lead staff, maintain confidential information, balance a variety of tasks, and represent the company's best interests.

Responsibilities

Train, supervise, and develop staff to meet company and individual goals.
Verify loads for accuracy, identification, appearance, and safety.
Inspect incoming loads for accuracy and report quantity and condition to purchasing.
Dispatch trucks efficiently while meeting customer needs.
Complete paperwork and documentation needed to receive, ship, and stock material accurately.
Coordinate material transfers with other branches.
Provide staff support on communication, training, safety, human resources, mechanical issues, customer service, and related matters.
Perform other related or assigned duties to benefit the company.
Coordinate work to be performed from shift to shift.
Maintain good attendance.
