Warehouse Supervisor | 1st Shift
About The Position
RJ Schinner is celebrating 75 years of business and is seeking a full-time Warehouse Supervisor for the 1st Shift (Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 3:30 pm, or until completion). This role involves superintending all 1st shift warehouse activities and employees, ensuring accurate picking, shipments, and appropriate handling of merchandise. The ideal candidate is familiar with various distribution center concepts, practices, and procedures, and can use experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. This position requires performing a variety of complicated tasks and allows for a degree of creativity and latitude. The Warehouse Supervisor reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years warehouse operations experience or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years of inventory control and SKU management experience
- High degree of attention to detail
- Able to perform light to heavy physical tasks; able to lift 50 lbs. safely
- Collaborates with all levels within the organization
- Proficiently operates a variety of powered industrial trucks
- Comfortable with exposure to environmental conditions (e.g. heat/cold; noise, dust)
- Comfortable with heights (25’-30’)
Nice To Haves
- Experience in picking or shipment of products
- Eclipse Warehouse Management System background a plus
Responsibilities
- Monitors and evaluates performance of direct reports
- Ensures accuracy and documentation of all outbound shipments
- Performs operations and safety checks on all powered industrial trucks
- Promotes and enforces workplace safety protocol for department/branch
- Provides training on processes and procedures for 1st shift employees
- Communicates business plans and departmental goals and objectives
- Other duties assigned by the Warehouse Manager
