Requirements

  • 1-2 years supervisor or lead experience
  • Minimum of 6 months in a warehouse, distribution or storage facility of more than 50 people
  • Ability to utilize RF warehouse management equipment
  • Basic understanding of the Solar Eclipse ERP system
  • Able to move/lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted
  • Position spends 100% of time standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing
  • Ability to operate material moving equipment such as a forklift, riding pallet jack, manual pallet jack, and picking carts

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of routing software preferred
  • Knowledge of the greater Columbus area to support efficient route planning, navigation, and transportation coordination, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the point person for all operational responsibilities during shift; knows when to escalate issues and concerns to Warehouse Manager providing solutions as needed.
  • Supervises associates and participates in the picking, auditing, and preparation of all orders.
  • Supervises and assists in the loading of all local trucks in preparation for morning deliveries, to include auditing truck loads and ensuring trucks are loaded in an optimal way for morning delivery drivers to make unencumbered and efficient deliveries.
  • Responsible for the truck routing process and executing the delivery schedule as needed.
  • Assists with general warehouse activities as necessary to include counter “Will Call” order picking as necessary, cycle counting, potential after noon or night deliveries, and assistance with national accounts order preparation among other activities.
  • Ensures warehouse organization and cleanliness is improved and maintained.
  • Provides feedback and documentation on performance issues, attendance or other policies and procedures under the direction of the Warehouse Manager and with the support of the HR Team.
  • Demonstrates personal leadership and behavior of the highest standards of ethical behavior and supports the mission, vision, and values of the company.
  • Oversees skills assessment, training and development for employees related to operational duties/responsibilities and safety; provides ideas and suggestions for improvement to training programs.
  • Works with the Operations Managers to maintain a staffing plan and cross training within the department and encourage promotional opportunities.
  • Champions the Company's Accident Prevention and Safety programs and actively works to prevent accidents.
  • Other duties as assigned.
