About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor - Heavy Equipment is responsible for maintaining company standards in housekeeping and contamination control. This role carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures, including interviewing, hiring, coaching, mentoring, and training warehouse employees, and conducting annual performance reviews. The supervisor confers with the Parts Manager and department heads to ensure warehouse activities align with departmental and corporate goals. Key responsibilities include monitoring all warehouse operational procedures such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, weekly audit reporting, and maintaining parts/warehouse inventory. The role also involves monitoring all activities associated with the Warehouse Management System (WMS), including prioritizing order pulling, delivery times, and individual employee performance. Additionally, the supervisor is responsible for employee schedules, attendance, and punctuality. This position requires a strong emphasis on safety, job-specific skills, planning and organizing, stress management, customer orientation, initiative, adaptability, communication, coaching and mentoring, and managing change. The company, Ring Power Corporation, is a full-line Caterpillar dealer with a significant presence in Florida and other parts of the United States, dedicated to customer service with over 2,300 employees across more than 20 locations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 6 months or less of experience
  • Valid Driver License
  • Proficient in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products and relevant Dealer software programs.
  • Fork Lift experience and certification.
  • Able to easily and effectively comprehend, speak and write in the English language.
  • Job requirements occasionally change requiring re-training to stay current every 3-5 years.
  • Problem solving ability, established examples / guidance are not always available.
  • Some creativity to generate solutions or improve effectiveness within well-established boundaries.
  • Job is not normally monitored, but overall objectives are clearly defined. Use of discretion in how the work is done, setting priorities and decision making is encouraged. More emphasis is placed on achieving the desired outcome, not on controlling the process.
  • First level leader, responsible for team members only - no subordinate Supervisors / Managers.

Responsibilities
