About The Position

Accent Controls, Inc. is seeking full-time Warehouse Specialists (Warehouse Workers) in the Storage/Inventory department. As directed, performs a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. Work involves verifying materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and damages, routing materials to storage locations, storing and stacking materials, rearranging and taking inventory, examining stored materials for deterioration and damage, and removing materials for shipment. May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED. May substitute one year of relevant experience for one year of education.
  • Understanding large-scale organization systems
  • Knowing inventory control systems
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Meeting physical requirements, such as lifting, bending and standing for long periods
  • Knowing Microsoft Office programs, such as Word and Excel
  • Ability to operate a variety of tools
  • Experience using warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and handcarts
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and practices
  • Counting and inventory accuracy
  • Practices physical security and is committed to safety practices
  • Standing, squatting, lifting (up to 50 pounds); carrying, walking; pushing and pulling
  • Sitting and driving a forklift
  • Problem-solving, decision-making, data interpretation, organization; reading and writing

Responsibilities

  • Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages
  • Routing materials to prescribed storage locations
  • Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods
  • Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials
  • Examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage
  • Removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment
  • Operating hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties
