About The Position

AGL is looking for a Warehouse Specialist to work in Fort Carson, CO. The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for performing receiving, storage, accountability, and distribution functions in support of Army equipment turn-in operations. This role ensures all equipment and materiel are properly documented, staged, stored, and safeguarded in accordance with Army supply regulations, technical manuals, OSHA standards, and contract requirements. The Warehouse Specialist supports supply technicians, material coordinators, and supervisors to maintain accurate inventory and ensure efficient processing of large-scale equipment turn-ins. This position requires 75% travel.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Associate’s degree in logistics or supply preferred.
  • 2–4 years of warehouse, supply, or logistics experience (Army or contractor preferred).
  • Familiarity with Army turn-in and supply procedures highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Army supply/property accountability regulations (AR 710-2, AR 735-5, DA PAM 710-21).
  • Knowledge of Army logistics systems (GCSS-Army, LMP, DPAS).
  • Knowledge of material handling and warehouse safety practices.
  • Ability to read and process Army documentation (DA and DD forms).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Forklift/MHE operation certification (OF 346) preferred.
  • Strong organizational, recordkeeping, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in high-tempo, large-volume turn-in environments.
  • Must have a REAL ID.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform routine standing, walking, bending, and reaching tasks in warehouse and field environments.
  • Must meet all physical requirements necessary to perform assigned duties, including working in extreme heat or cold, high or low humidity, blowing sand and dust, confined spaces, heights, and other inclement weather conditions.
  • Must be able to attain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Must be willing to travel for 90 continuous days, up to 110 days with an extension.
  • Must be willing to work a schedule that is 90 days travel and 90 days home continuous throughout employment.
  • Must possess a valid passport or be able to acquire a passport within 120 days of employment.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with proof of vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and verify equipment and materiel turned in from Army units.
  • Check turn-in documents (DA Form 1348-1A, DD Form 200, hand receipts) for completeness and accuracy.
  • Assist in inspection and condition coding of items before storage or disposition.
  • Coordinate staging and movement of items into designated warehouse or yard areas.
  • Store, organize, and maintain items in warehouse locations in compliance with DA PAM 710-2-1 and AR 735-5.
  • Perform location surveys, bin checks, and cyclic inventories to maintain accountability.
  • Maintain segregation of serviceable, unserviceable, HAZMAT, and sensitive items.
  • Support preparation for Property Accountability Reviews (PARs) and audits.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other MHE to safely move and stage equipment.
  • Ensure safe handling of hazardous materials and compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Assist in packaging, labeling, and preparing equipment for shipment or redistribution.
  • Input and update property transactions in Army logistics systems such as GCSS-Army, DPAS, or LMP.
  • Maintain warehouse logs, inventory control sheets, and daily activity records.
  • Support audit readiness through accurate recordkeeping in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
  • Provide assistance to unit supply personnel delivering equipment to the site.
  • Resolve discrepancies in documentation and coordinate corrections with supervisors.
  • Support coordination with transportation personnel for outbound shipments.
  • Perform any other duties assigned.
