About The Position

The Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. Essential Responsibilities: Under supervision, performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. Verifying materials against receiving documents, Noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages Routing materials to prescribed storage locations Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials Examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage Removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties This worker does not as primary duty, do shipping and receiving work, order filling, or operating forklifts, but may complete these tasks as a small percentage of their overall workload Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Legal Resident
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year of job related experience and/or training is required
  • Knowledgeable of governing supply systems/programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals or other established guidelines
  • Must have or be able to obtain licenses/certifications as needed to perform duties.
  • Must have a valid and current state driver’s license.
  • Must be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle
  • Must be able to complete paperwork associated with the position as required
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, complex environment
  • Must be able to read and understand Technical Manuals, Technical Bulletins, Army Regulations and Department of the Army Pamphlets
  • Must possess basic computer skills
  • Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Must have an ability to meet physical demands and pass any related medical examination requirements required to perform daily assigned tasks
  • Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
  • May need the ability to obtain and maintain a government Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Must have a Class D license
  • May be required to obtain and maintain a forklift license
  • May require the ability to obtain a HAZMAT certification
  • Position may require travel.
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with U.S. Army combat and tactical equipment preferred.
