About The Position

The Warehouse Specialist accurately fills customers' parts orders, maintains inventory, processes returns, and maintains tools in a safe, timely and courteous manner using approved Duncan Aviation procedures. In addition, this position professionally responds to internal and external customer parts' inquiries using the highest standard of customer service; prepares parts for shipping, and/or receives incoming shipments in a safe, timely and courteous manner using approved Duncan Aviation procedures; and loads and unloads delivery trucks using a forklift. This role is 'On-Site'.

Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent required
Minimum one year related warehousing, parts, shipping, receiving or related experience required
Forklift Certification
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Shipping and Receiving Auditor designation
Hazardous Materials Shipping Certification eligible
Regularly scheduled attendance required
Proficient keyboarding and data entry

Responsibilities

Performs accurate and timely warehouse functions including filling customers' request for parts, verifying quantities, part numbers, part description, condition code, lot numbers/expiration dates, etc.
Responds to internal and external customers' inquiries regarding parts issues, including tracking of goods using internal and external systems and researching open orders and lost parts.
Maintains integrity of inventory system by accurately documenting parts' movements in the computer and the RF System (e.g., warehouse moves, order fulfillment, credits and put-aways).
Maintains accurate inventory by performing RF cycle counts and manual counts.
Handles returns, credits, and salvages as necessary.
Prepares parts shipments by inspecting and safely packaging parts, performing shipment entry, producing correct documentation, and accurately coding shipping costs for billing.
Processes incoming shipments, verifies shipment with purchase orders, and visually inspects materials for damage, quantity, descriptions, part number, serial number, condition order, etc. per FAA regulations and Duncan approved procedures.
Unloads and loads delivery trucks using a forklift in a safe and timely manner.
Visually inspects materials for obvious damage, properly documents any damage(s), and notifies appropriate team member of any damage.
Coordinates emergency shipments with appropriate carrier according to Duncan Aviation approved procedures as necessary.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
