About The Position

The Warehouse Specialist accurately fills customers' parts orders, maintains inventory, processes returns, and maintains tools in a safe, timely and courteous manner using approved Duncan Aviation procedures. In addition, this position professionally responds to internal and external customer parts' inquiries using the highest standard of customer service; prepares parts for shipping, and/or receives incoming shipments in a safe, timely and courteous manner using approved Duncan Aviation procedures; and loads and unloads delivery trucks using a forklift. This role is 'On-Site'.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent required
  • Minimum one year related warehousing, parts, shipping, receiving or related experience required
  • Forklift Certification
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Shipping and Receiving Auditor designation
  • Hazardous Materials Shipping Certification eligible
  • Regularly scheduled attendance required
  • Proficient keyboarding and data entry

Responsibilities

  • Performs accurate and timely warehouse functions including filling customers' request for parts, verifying quantities, part numbers, part description, condition code, lot numbers/expiration dates, etc.
  • Responds to internal and external customers' inquiries regarding parts issues, including tracking of goods using internal and external systems and researching open orders and lost parts.
  • Maintains integrity of inventory system by accurately documenting parts' movements in the computer and the RF System (e.g., warehouse moves, order fulfillment, credits and put-aways).
  • Maintains accurate inventory by performing RF cycle counts and manual counts.
  • Handles returns, credits, and salvages as necessary.
  • Prepares parts shipments by inspecting and safely packaging parts, performing shipment entry, producing correct documentation, and accurately coding shipping costs for billing.
  • Processes incoming shipments, verifies shipment with purchase orders, and visually inspects materials for damage, quantity, descriptions, part number, serial number, condition order, etc. per FAA regulations and Duncan approved procedures.
  • Unloads and loads delivery trucks using a forklift in a safe and timely manner.
  • Visually inspects materials for obvious damage, properly documents any damage(s), and notifies appropriate team member of any damage.
  • Coordinates emergency shipments with appropriate carrier according to Duncan Aviation approved procedures as necessary.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
